PAEP's "We The People" Retrospective

A retrospective of the “Let Art Freedom ring” 6 foot tall 3-D 21st century bells created by area schoolchildren will be on display. Thirteen of the bells, representing the original colonies, will be showcased in and around HeadHouse Square, South Street and Fabric Row. After learning about civics and the Constitution in a specially tailored program, the children then depicted their version of art freedom on this life-sized iconic emblem.

In 2013 to mark the 225-th anniversary of the signing of the Constitution in Philadelphia, a special 10 foot tall “We the People” bell will be created. The public will be allowed to add their personal touches to this bell and its progress will be posted via social media. After a month’s worth of activities this one-of-a-kind bell will be auctioned for charity.
