Join us for the premiere of Mr Gaga, a documentary about one of the most famous dance troupe's and its innovative choreographer.  Director Barak Heymann will be on hand for a Q and A session.  The film, will be shown at the Perelman Theatre in the Kimmel Center, and dinner with the film maker at Estia takes place after the screening.  

Dani Dayan, Israel's Ambassador in NY and Dr Ruth, the famous sex therapist and former Haganah sharpshooter came together to support the documentary film "The Secret Beneath the Hill".

The movie, now in development, tells the story of the Ayalon bullet factory from 1947-49 in Rehovet outside of the Tel Aviv.  Film makers have tracked down the last of the original workers who helped turn the tide during Israel's War of Independence.  For two years these brave teenagers manufactured ammo 8 meters underground, in a bunker hidden by a laundry facility.  All told more than 2 million bullets were produced and smuggled to freedom fighters around the country. 

The documentary celebrates their deeds and the dangerous times in which they lived..  The goal is to have the film finished by 2018 in time for Israel's 70th anniversary.  

Its a first!  On September 21, 2016 at 7 PM, join us at Millesime Ligne Roset at 31-33 North 2nd Street in Old City and experience daring fashions from Israel's hottest designer Kedem Sasson.  The former host on Project Runway Israel visits Philadelphia with a sneak peek at his latest ready to wear collection.  Pros and 'real women' will strut down the runway.  Proceeds will assist an up and coming designer get a start, mentored by the incomparable Sasson.  The evening includes a special performance by the Koresh Dance Company.  Delight in bold art from the Holy Land.  Nosh on the best of Israeli cuisine and wine from the Golan Heights.
