Liberty Wealth Management at Morgan Stanley hosts a VIP happy hour to meet artist Kara Mshinda. Her works will be featured at Commonweal Art Gallery until mid-May in honor of Mother’s Day. Mshinda photographed her young daughter during the pandemic at play. Then scanning and digitalizing these images she used them to form one of a kind collages. The series highlights the unique bond between Mother and Daughter. The collection was videotaped for a segment on Channel 6 FYI Philly.

Kara Mshinda and Ermel Martinez will be showcasing their latest works at Commonweal Art Gallery 1607 Latimer Street. On display Mshinda’s digital photo collages for Mother’S Day depicting the special relationship forged with her young daughter during the pandemic.
Martinez utilizes mixed media on tambourines to express his recent move to the South after having spent his entire career in Philadelphia.

Join us for the premiere of Mr Gaga, a documentary about one of the most famous dance troupe's and its innovative choreographer. Director Barak Heymann will be on hand for a Q and A session. The movie, now in development, tells the story of the Ayalon bullet factory from 1947-49 in Rehovet outside of the Tel Aviv. Film makers have tracked down the last of the original workers who helped turn the tide during Israel's War of Independence. For two years these brave teenagers manufactured ammo 8 meters underground, in a bunker hidden by a laundry facility. All told more than 2 million bullets were produced and smuggled to freedom fighters around the country.
The documentary celebrates their deeds and the dangerous times in which they lived.. The goal is to have the film finished by 2018 in time for Israel's 70th anniversary.
